Acceptance of terms

By installing the Swoop extension, creating an account, or using tryswooptool.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Swoop.

The service

Swoop is a Chrome extension and web app that helps you sort and analyze Instagram content. AI analysis is metered in credits — a free starting balance on signup, a Pro subscription, and one-time credit top-ups.

Swoop is under active development. Features, credit limits and pricing can change as the product evolves — we'll give you notice of changes that materially affect a subscription you're paying for.

Accounts

  • You can sign in with email and password or through a third-party sign-in provider; you're responsible for keeping your account secure.
  • You must be old enough to use Instagram under its own terms, and you're responsible for complying with Instagram's terms when using Swoop against your own account.
  • You're responsible for everything that happens through your account, and for keeping your login to yourself. Tell us at [email protected] if you think somebody else has access to it.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the account page, which removes your login, your analysis history and your credit balance. Analyses already contributed to the shared research corpus are kept with the link to you severed — see the Privacy Policy for what that covers. If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first via "Manage billing" on your account page.

Subscriptions, credits & billing

  • Paid plans and one-time credit top-ups are billed and processed by our payment provider, the merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. The payment provider handles payment, taxes, invoices and receipts, and appears on your card statement.
  • Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually — at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
  • One credit covers one minute of video analyzed, rounded up per video (minimum one credit). Your analysis results are stored while your account is active.
  • Subscription credits refresh each billing period and unused credits roll over — they don't expire while your subscription is active, and any credits banked before canceling stay usable until your paid period ends. Top-up credits don't expire.
  • You can cancel or manage your subscription anytime from the account page, which links to the payment provider's billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for. Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy.
  • For refund requests and everything else about cancellations, see our Refund Policy.

Refunds & cancellations

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from "Manage billing" on your account page, and it won't renew again. If something has gone wrong with a payment, email [email protected] with your account email and your payment transaction or order number and we'll sort it out.

Purchases are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or approved by our payment provider under its refund policy. Our full Refund Policy explains how to request a refund, how approved refunds are processed, and your rights under applicable law. It forms part of these terms.

Acceptable use

You may analyze Instagram content you can lawfully access when your intended use is permitted by applicable law or the rights holder. Access alone does not grant permission to copy or repost the content.

You agree not to use Swoop to:

  • Bypass login or other access restrictions to reach content, or use an analysis in a way that is not permitted by applicable law or the rights holder.
  • Infringe someone else's copyright or other intellectual property rights, or copy, repost, or redistribute their content without the rights or permission to do so.
  • Circumvent Instagram's rate limits, scraping protections, or terms of service at scale.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Swoop's output as a competing service.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.

Third-party services & Instagram

Swoop works on top of services we don't own or control. Instagram can change its pages, its limits or its terms at any time, and when it does, parts of Swoop may stop working until we adapt. We can't guarantee that any feature will keep working against Instagram's current behaviour, and an outage of that kind isn't a fault on your side.

Swoop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram. Your use of Instagram itself is governed by Instagram's own terms, not these.

We also rely on a third-party sign-in provider, an account and data hosting provider, an AI analysis service, and a product analytics provider. Our payment provider handles payments as the merchant of record. What each receives is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

Swoop's code, design, and branding are ours. Posts, reels, captions and other content you access through Instagram remain subject to their respective owners' rights. Saving or viewing someone else's content does not make you its owner or grant permission to reuse it. We don't claim ownership of that content or of the analysis results Swoop produces for you. You may use those results only in ways that respect others' rights and applicable law. We process content to provide the service, and a copy of an analysis may be served to another Swoop user when it was produced with standard settings, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Swoop is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated analysis (transcripts, hooks, summaries) may contain errors — verify anything you rely on. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Swoop isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Termination

You can stop using Swoop and delete your account at any time, canceling any active subscription first. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including the acceptable-use section above.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date on this page, and for changes that materially affect your rights or your subscription we'll give you notice before they take effect. Continuing to use Swoop after a change means you accept the updated terms.
